The TCU Teaching Fellows is a “grow your own” [program funded by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education.](https://education.mn.gov/MDE/dse/equitdiv/grow/) This program is intended to help Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) with a Faribault connection attain their Minnesota teaching license.

**There are three application deadlines each year:**  November 10, 2023  and May 10, 2024

This program is open to applicants who are Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) attending or planning to attend a [Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board-approved (PELSB-approved)](https://mn.gov/pelsb/aspiring-educators/preparation-programs/approved-programs/) teacher preparation program during the 2022–23 or 2023-24 school years.

The Teaching Fellows Program

Starting this fall, students in Lonsdale, Montgomery, and Le Center will be participating in our newly developed E-8 STEAM program. Our STEAM program will provide TCU early learning, elementary, and middle school students with interdisciplinary, project-based STEAM experiences.

The “**A**” in the TCU STEAM program focuses on a deeper integration and implementation of arts, AVID, and agriculture. **S**cience, **T**echnology, **E**ngineering, and **M**ath [are the other key components of our STEAM program.](https://tcu2905.us/en-US/steam-q-as-8fad01ad)
